These ribs? *So* good. (Please note there is a mistake in the recipe. The tomato paste should be added to the onions and garlic before adding the rub slurry). My sont got off work early, but the meat was already perfectly cooked (and will hold, wrapped in foil, in a 200F oven for just about ever). I made baked corn (corn kernels, milk, butter, egg, salt, pepper and a bit of nutmeg) and we had a green salad to start.

speaking of garlic...

the other night, my boyfriend said he was craving toast. but instead of just making toast, he made what he called "garlic sandwiches" on the george foreman grill. he schmeared butter on the bread, added jarred garlic and then slapped it together and put it on the grill until toasty and the butter was melty. afterwards, he threw in a bit of leftover pecorino and let it melt just a bit.

Please I beg of you.. don't shoot me -covers her face- I know that I'm posting earlier than the 24 hour limit, but I posted late last night around almost 11pm, and there's no way for me to stay up everyday to that hour just to post. I wanted to stay on a scheduled time that was comfortable for me, but staying at my sister's that long kinda ruined that. Don'tcha wish you were here?

So, I've been missing all the crafty things in my life. I'm moving to Houston in just a few weeks, and I won't have space for all of my craft junk, so I decided to just take up embroidering, since the supplies are cheap and doesn't take up too much space.
For one of my first projects (after my attempt to do a Vogart kitten crashed and burned) was a Stormtrooper... thing.. for my friend. I'm not exactly sure what to call it. A patch? that will be mounted and framed?
Anyway

It's about 4.5" x 5" ish, and I fixed that little patch of white in the orange after I took this picture.
I'm going to cut the background back until it's just a half inch border, so just imagine it like that :)
